Family/School Coordinator

The Family/School Coordinator serves as a liaison between school, home, and outside (community) services – this is critical when home, school, and community collaboration is the key to achieving student success. This position helps to educate parents/guardians on the special education process and their role as team members in their child's education. This position is also able to assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, medical concerns, positive behavior supports, academic and classroom support which may be impeding the student’s ability to learn as effectively as possible.  The Family/School Coordinator is able to work with students, families, and schools to link them with local, state, and federal programs which may be beneficial in addressing unmet needs.
