Montana Empowerment: Montana Empowerment provides online resources and individualized assistance to help Montana parents and educators to support and enrich the lives of children with disabilities.  They provides support, information and tools to families to help make informed decisions as equal partner's in their child's education. 

Disability Rights Montana: The Mission of Disability Rights Montana is to protect and advocate for the human, legal, and civil rights of Montanans with disabilities while advancing dignity, equality, and self-determination.

Easter Seals Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain: Easter Seals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain provides services for children and adults with disabilities and other special needs, and support to their families.

Healthy Kids Montana: This is a link to the application for Healthy Kids Montana, which provides free or low-cost health coverage for children and teenagers up to age 19.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA): The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities throughout the nation. IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education and related services to more than 6.5 million eligible infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities.

Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc.: Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists patients without adequate financial resources and prescription coverage in obtaining free products donated by the operating companies of Johnson & Johnson. The Foundation is an independent organization reflecting the Johnson & Johnson operating companies' long-standing commitment to helping patients access prescription medicines.

Transition and Employment Projects:  The University of Montana Rural Institute has been a leader in the area of transition planning for youth with disabilities since 1995. Activities have included:

-Provision of education and training to schools, families, students and agencies;

-View the current training calendar and extensive training archives

-Development of innovative strategies and transition models;

-Demonstration, outreach and technical assistance, both on-site and long distance;

-Promotion of systems changes to support effective transition for youth from school to adult life; and
Information dissemination.

Since 2000, the Institute has focused several of our projects on customized community employment for youth with significant disabilities. They have developed and implemented unique models of transition planning that continue to evolve as we learn more from the youth and families with whom we work.

Office of Public Instruction (OPI): This agency is run by an elected official, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The mission of OPI is  to provide "vision, advocacy, support and leadership for schools and communities to ensure that all students meet today's challenges and tomorrow's opportunities."  Within the agency are programs specializing in unique topics including a program for special education.

Our Military Kids: This program provides grants to help pay for sports, fine arts and tutoring programs for children of deployed and severely injured National Guard and military reserve personnel.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP): Provides supplemental food and nutrition assistance.
